About Lukmyshow
Lukmyshow helps people in India find where to watch a film or show, and whether a new film is worth their time. It covers Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and English releases. It is an independent site, run from India.
What you will find here
- Where to watch. Which streaming app in India has a film, and whether you need a subscription, a rental or nothing at all.
- Movie reviews. Our consensus reviews of new releases, built from published critic ratings.
- Box office. Day-by-day collection figures for new films.
- Bigg Boss polls.Fan polls for each language.
- Guides. Plain-English explainers about films and streaming.
How our reviews are made
We do not review a film from a single opinion. We read the reviews that critics have published, and our score is a summary of what they said.
- Every rating we quote comes from a named outlet, and we link to the page it came from.
- A film gets a score only once at least three published ratings exist. Until then its page says there is no score yet.
- Our score is our reading of those ratings. It usually lands close to their average, and when it does not, we say why on the page.
- When some big outlets review a film without giving stars, we say so, and we do not average only the ones that used numbers, because that can describe an agreement that does not exist.
- We never invent a rating, a quote or an outlet.
- We do not write a verdict before a film opens. Pre-release pages carry credits and release details only.
We do not take payment for reviews or ratings.
Where our information comes from
- Streaming availability comes from a licensed streaming data service. Films move between apps often, so always check the app before you subscribe.
- Cast, crew and nominee lists on our reviews and Bigg Boss pages come from the film's or show's own Wikipedia article. The cast shown on a where-to-watch page comes from the streaming data service.
- Box office figures come from a trade tracker, Sacnilk, and are India net estimates. They can differ from what a producer announces, and figures marked live can still change. Our guide to box office numbers explains the difference between net and gross.
- Posters come from the streaming data service. We do not copy posters from other websites.
What we do not do
- We do not host or stream any film, and we do not link to pirated copies. Every watch link goes to an official, licensed service.
- Our Bigg Boss polls are fan polls. They do not count towards the real vote. Each total includes a starting baseline taken from public polls on other sites, so a new poll does not begin empty. Votes cast on Lukmyshow are added on top.
- We do not call a film a hit or a flop from collection figures alone. That depends on what it cost and what its rights were sold for, which producers rarely publish.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes, as every film site does. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the contact page. We fix it, and where the mistake was in something we published, we say so on the page.
